The art of a quiet luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez

Hidden away from the bustle of the port, in a quiet corner near the Pointe des Salins, a different kind of Saint-Tropez reveals itself. Here, sunlight filters through the pine trees, scents of rosemary and jasmine linger in the air, and time seems to stretch, languid and golden. This is Lou Pinet, a luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez, a Mediterranean refuge, where elegance is effortless and beauty feels instinctive.

Far from the glitter and noise, Lou Pinet invites guests to rediscover the art of slowing down. Inspired by the Saint-Tropez of the fifties, the hotel blends retro charm with a contemporary soul: raw materials, fifties-inspired design, a lush Provençal garden, and a vast swimming pool of carved stone. Intimate, sun-drenched and deeply rooted in place, Lou Pinet is an atmosphere, a feeling, a return to something essential, where authenticity is not displayed, but simply felt, in the rhythm of each day and the quiet harmony of its surroundings.

A certain idea of Saint-Tropez

True luxury rarely announces itself. In Saint-Tropez, where the season often blurs into a theatre of glitter and haste, some places still prefer discretion to display, and time, to tempo. Lou Pinet belongs to this quieter lineage. Nestled within a tranquil residential enclave, just minutes from the Place des Lices, it offers another reading of the village: one steeped in space, softness, and light.

The architecture, entrusted to Charles Zana, draws from the golden age of the fifties, a time when Sagan lingered in cafés and Picasso sketched under the pines. Clean lines, generous volumes, and noble materials define the space. Terracotta, rope, and ceramic echo the land and its craft. Nothing feels ornamental, everything breathes. The spirit is that of a private home, composed with restraint and affection.

At the heart of the property lies a Mediterranean garden designed by Jean Mus, renowned landscape architect from Grasse. Scented with rosemary, thyme and citrus, this lush space unfolds in soft layers of lavender, aromatic herbs, and native trees, including two striking parasol pines that welcome guests on arrival. A sense of calm pervades. Light and shadow play across the foliage, cicadas hum in the background.

At its centre, a vast stone-edged swimming pool, among the largest in Saint-Tropez, anchors the three houses of the hotel. A space to let time stretch, especially atf sunset, just before the apéritif hour.

A luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez for the senses

Just below, the spa unfolds like a secret retreat, hushed, intimate. Treatments use Tata Harper’s 100% natural, high-performance formulas, applied with precision in two serene cabins and a hammam. A quiet space for deep care, tailored to each guest.

The rooms and suites follow the same cadence: soft fabrics, earthen tones, linen in the breeze. Each one is unique, adorned with handcrafted details. Service is intuitive and discreet, creating a sense of ease from the moment one arrives.

Culinary pleasures are savoured rather than performed. At this luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez, at La Terrasse, lunches linger beneath the blue sky, with light dishes drawn from the Riviera’s bounty. By night, Beefbar takes centre stage, celebrating rare meats and generous flavours in a setting where conviviality flows naturally.
